St. George Classical School is seeking a Lower Elementary Teacher (K-2) for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate would preferably have experience teaching in a small multi-age classroom and hold a bachelor’s degree in education, theology, or similar field. The candidate must have a love of children, and a strong faith, demonstrated in the love of Christ and the Church. Experience in a classical school is a plus. Compensation is competitive.

St. George Classical school is a Classical, Christian K-8 school based in the Shenandoah Valley under the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains in Rockbridge County, VA. We value truth, beauty, and  goodness for the sake of Christ’s kingdom. 

Each student is encouraged to pursue a life of virtue and godly love. We have a small student body, which fosters a close community of students and provides an opportunity for instruction tailored to each individual. Each child is introduced to Latin as early as Kindergarten. We read and discuss classic stories, encouraging students to become writers of beautiful words, as well as explorers of the natural world through math and science.
